Yesterday, I posted about the ‘BigBrain‘ project, which resulted in an online resource that allows anyone to scroll through a high resolution, digitized brain model. Today, I was browsing through the wonder that is the internet, and stumbled upon ‘Glass Brain‘, which looks at brain function, rather than structure. Some of you have probably heard of President Obama’s BRAIN initiative. It’s basically a concerted (federally supported) effort aimed at figuring out the underpinnings of neurological and psychiatric diseases that have a strong brain basis, as well as trying to understand how a healthy brain works. Inaugural Camp Announced!
The inaugural Auburn University Brain Imaging Visiting Fellowship (aka “AU Brain Camp”) will be held July 21st through August 1st this summer! The camp will be for current high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
